I was raised in Kitsap County, Washington State. I received a B.A. in Environmental Studies/ Education in Bellingham, WA, where I also operated my own booking business for local musicians and worked at a non-profit, providing job skills and housing assistance.

By instinct, I moved to San Francisco in 2008, and have resided in the Mission District since. Through these years I’ve inextricably woven into this community. By becoming a doula I’ve found a vastly meaningful way to be consistently involved, and care for people, while utilizing some of my favorite forms of creativity, knowledge and skill; personal growth encouragement, realization of flexibility & boundaries, herbs, nutrition, and creating peaceful &/ or expressive environments. My big picture priorities are holding space to allow for families’ intuition to lead changes and transitions inherent in the birth process and after, and birth/ postpartum team dynamics and health.

Community is a core component of health for birthing people in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Doulas also rely on and grow from our communities. Everyone should have access to doula support should they want it; there is work to be done to get to that place!
